Technical Skills
With over 20 years experience in LAMP stack development, I have worked with complex technologies from both the front end, analyst type role [Salesforce, Jira, MS Office, Adobe CS], to the backend, doing backend computer programming [HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, PL/SQL].
I have worked on teams where we had weekly phone conference calls and on other teams where we did weekly standup meetings where we had to talk for at least 5 minutes. I find doing weekly stand-ups works best, and offers the employee a chance to not only talk about his/her performance and what he/she has accomplished, but also affords the opportunity to make suggestions.
I have built web and print productions from concept to completion. In order to do so I have interacted with clients both on site and on the telephone, and through chat and through email. I find written communications work best. I have obtained user input through the above mentioned methods along with creating web forms that ask specific questions pertinent to specific projects.
I have worked with teams from small (2 people) to large (over 15 people). I always have questions ready for team members written down ahead of time, and I only ask questions pertinent to the development. I always try to ask open ended questions that require someone to answer the questions with answers other than yes or no.
I have worked for companies that already have in place best practices, and I have written best practices myself for companies that do not have them already written. I usually research the issues at hand, and develop best practices from those issues.
